Silver beaker on four ball feet with polychrome opaque enamel decoration. 
This remarkable piece, created by the master jeweler Georgy (Egor) Kuzmich Cheryatov, embodies of Russian Art Nouveau style. With the bird-shaped handles with semi-precious cabochon stones incrustation.
Georgy Kuzmich Cheryatov (1873–1947) was head of the silver department of the Moscow jewelry firm Lorie. Trained as a silversmith at the turn of the century, he became one of the prominent exponents of the Neo-Russian style, a branch of national romanticism in decorative arts. Alongside his long-standing collaboration with Lorie, Cheryatov also produced independent works marked by individuality and artistic refinement.

A RUSSIAN IMPERIAL AMETHYST GLASS VASE
Amethyst glass, wheel-cut and polished.

A finely proportioned vase of compressed baluster form with a gently flared rim, executed in deep amethyst glass of rich tonality. The lower body is encircled by a broad band of wheel-cut ornament composed of alternating fan and diamond motifs, crisply faceted and highly polished, creating a lively contrast between the glossy surface of the upper wall and the sharp geometry of the cut decoration.
Amethyst glass had long been esteemed in Russian glassmaking for its noble, saturated colour. This effect was achieved through the use of manganese compounds, which, depending on concentration and firing conditions, could lend the glass anything from a faint clarifying tint to a dense violet tone of exceptional intensity. In the present vase, that technical refinement is matched by the precision of the cutting, resulting in an object of strong visual weight and quiet elegance.

Fabergé Gold, Silver and Enamel Bell Push

Circular bell push set with translucent white guilloché enamel over a sunburst ground, centered with a cabochon garnet push piece. The border is decorated with gold chased laurel garlands and reeded edging in neoclassical taste.

Marked on the underside with Fabergé and workmaster’s initials H.W. for Henrik Wigström, and St. Petersburg assay marks for 56 zolotniks (15ct gold) and 88 silver zolotnik.

Henrik Wigström (1862–1923) is regarded as one of Fabergé’s most important workmasters, succeeding Michael Perkhin in 1903. Under his direction, the Fabergé workshops produced some of their most sophisticated creations in Louis XVI and neoclassical styles, including many of the Imperial Easter Eggs and objets de fantaisie crafted between 1904 and 1917.

A Russian Imperial Decanter For Spirits St Petersburg, Imperial Glass Factory, 1830s-1840s.
Clear glass and copper-ruby glass; blown, cased glass, deep cutting, polished.

Height 14.5 cm, diameter 10.0 cm.
A small pear-shaped decanter on a circular foot. The body is made of clear glass with an outer layer of copper-ruby overlay. The ornament is cut through the coloured casing by deep wheel-cutting: a tall frieze of pointed Gothic arches, interspersed with delicate multi-rayed stars. The shoulders are encircled by stepped bands of cutting, while the neck opens into a slight flare. The fitted stopper is faceted and echoes the decorative character of the vessel.
The deep dark cherry tone was achieved by colouring the glass mass with colloidal copper. The contrast between the transparent ground and the ruby overlay produces a vivid play of light and strongly emphasizes the Gothic design. Both form and decoration are consistent with the production of the Imperial Glass Factory. Closely comparable examples are founded in the State Historical Museum, Moscow (inv. no. GIM 106603/2), and in the State Hermitage Museum, St Petersburg (inv. no. ERS-3085).
A number of objects in the Gothic style, probably made for the Cottage Palace in Alexandria Park at Peterhof, are displayed in Russian museum collections. Among them are mantel clocks and a lidded tankard with carved and gilded decoration in the form of an ornamental colonnade with pointed arches in the collection of the All-Russian Museum of Decorative, Applied and Folk Art, Moscow. In the present decanter, the motif of the pointed arcade and colonnade is directly adopted, though without gilding.
The Imperial Glass Factory was founded in 1792, when, after the death of Grigory Potemkin, his enterprise was acquired for the treasury by Catherine II. During the 19th century, the factory worked with leading architects and artists, among them Andrei Voronikhin, Thomas de Thomon, Carlo Rossi, Vasily Stasov, Ippolit Monighetti, and Viktor Hartmann, producing exemplary works in glass and crystal to their designs. In 1890 the factory was merged with the Imperial Porcelain Factory, and production ceased at the end of 1918.

A Silver and Guilloché Enamel Table Bell Push

Crafted of silver and richly decorated with alternating panels of translucent red and white guilloché enamel, this bell push rests on four bun feet and is crowned with a polished cabochon amethyst finial.

Michael Perchin, who served as chief workmaster of Fabergé from 1886 until his death in 1903, was responsible for some of the firm’s most famous Imperial Easter eggs and finely crafted objets d’art. His work combined technical mastery in goldsmithing and enameling with elegant, harmonious design, making Perchin’s signature a mark of the highest quality.

A Russian Gold-Mounted Agate Kovsh

Carved from richly banded agate in warm amber and cream tones, the kovsh is elegantly mounted with a sculptural gold handle of coiled, ribbon-like design. The refined balance between the natural stone’s beauty and the simplicity of its gold ornament reflects the sophisticated aesthetic of St. Petersburg court jewelers at the turn of the century.

Friedrich Koehli, a Swiss-born jeweler who founded his St. Petersburg firm in 1874, became one of the most respected goldsmiths of the Imperial Court. By 1902, his workshop was appointed official supplier to Dowager Empress Maria Feodorovna, Grand Duke Pavel Alexandrovich, and Grand Duchess Maria Alexandrovna, Duchess of Saxe-Coburg-Gotha. Exhibiting alongside Fabergé at the 1900 Paris Exposition Universelle, Koehli served as a jury member and gained international recognition.

In 1903 he partnered with his son, Theodor-Friedrich (Fyodor Fyodorovich) Koehli, establishing F. & F. Koehli, which continued to produce fine gold and enamel works until 1911.

A Shot Glass from the Imperial Yacht Polar Star

A rare shot glass associated with the Imperial yacht Polar Star (Polyarnaya Zvezda), one of the most celebrated vessels of the Russian Imperial court. Of plain cylindrical form with a heavy applied base in deep emerald-green glass, the vessel is engraved with the Russian Imperial double-headed eagle, denoting its connection with official court service.
The yacht Polar Star, built at the Baltic Shipyard and launched in 1890, served Alexander III and Nicholas II as the principal imperial yacht for voyages, naval reviews and diplomatic visits. Its interiors, renowned for their comfort and artistic refinement, rivalled those of contemporary palaces. In the years before the First World War the vessel was closely associated with the travels of the Imperial family, especially the dowager Empress Maria Feodorovna, and became one of the most recognizable symbols of the ceremonial life of the late Russian court.
