An outstanding and rare example of a Swedish Naval Officer’s Dress Sword, likely the Model M/1824, which succeeded earlier patterns. This exceptional sword is a magnificent representation of the Swedish Royal Navy’s formal accoutrements during the first half of the 19th century, a period often associated with King Karl XIV Johan (reigned 1818-1844). Scabbard is nicely decorated with dolphin. Rare piece.
