Model 1848 short sword with regimental markings of the Life Guard Volyn Regiment. From 1862 this regiment was based in Warsaw. The sword is in good condition, being repaired in the beginning of the 20th-century. The scabbard is also made right before the WWI as a replacement, that can be dated by the inspection stamps. Most of model 1878 were supplied to Bulgaria by Russia, this one is made by Sofia arsenal, what is extremely uncommon. Sofia arsenal stamp is on the crossguard, the sword was made in 1890.
