Hunting dagger with Grand Duke of Baden monogram. Beautiful gilded blade with engravings, maker’s mark of Schimmelbusch & Sohn, Solingen. Gilded brass and carved wood hilt, Grand Duchy of Baden coat of arms on the guard. Leopold of Baden short monogram and Grand Duchy of Baden coat of arms on the blade. This hunting dagger was most likely the personal dagger of Leopold of Baden due the presence of both coat of arms and monogram on the blade. Leopold of Baden (1790 — 1852) — Grand Duke of Baden since 1830, the father of princess Cecilie of Baden (Olga Feodorovna of Russia) — the wife of Grand Duke Mikhail Nikolaevich of Russia. Length: 86 cm.
