Inscription (lid):
“To Chief Inspector Mr. Heino Ploom in memory of his 50th birthday from his colleagues at Estonian Lloyd. Tallinn, 19 May 1938.”

Desk notebook with hinged silver cover and ball finials, mounted to a black marble base; fitted with the original pencil. The cover carries the engraved dedication and a monogram;

Eesti Lloyd (Estonian Lloyd), founded in 1919, was a Tallinn-based insurance joint-stock company. This presentation piece, gifted to Chief Inspector Heino Ploom on his jubilee, reflects the polished corporate etiquette and fine metalwork of pre-war Estonia.
