Born in Italy, Peter Kufferle (1871-1942) worked in Petersburg from 1899 to 1917. Became famous as a portrait and tombstone sculptor. Also, He created a series of famous Russian historical persons. He participated in many exhibitions in St. Petersburg and Moscow, including exhibitions of the St. Petersburg Society of Artists and the First Ladies ‘ Art salon.
