A Faberge silver presentation cigarette case from the First World War series. Was presented to officer Berthelot Charles (French 1874-1949). In 1916, he took command of the auxiliary cruiser “Champagne” with which he performed serious convoy escort missions in Norway, Iceland and Russia. For which he was awarded by the cigarette case in the port of Arkhangelsk. He was also awarded by Knight of the Legion of Honor in 1907, officer in 1919, commander in 1927, grand officer in 1933 and
