Model 1881/1909 Russian Dragoon officer shashka, with St. Anna award. Blade forged steel, with small bend. On the heel of the blade there is a mark Shaf Sons of St. Petersburg and the state emblem of the Russian Empire, two-headed eagle. On the other side of the blade, also on the heel there is a mark Solingen. On the blade there is an inscription made in the technique of gold in steel “N. N. Karpov – 1st Battalion”. In the upper part of the handle pinned the badge of the order of Anna of 4 degrees, on the bow the inscription For Bravery. The upper part of the handle has a monogram of Emperor Nikolay II , in the reign of which the officer received his first rank. The scabbard is made of wood with the skin of the mouth, with the nut and ferrule from brass. The blade of the famous St. Petersburg firm “Shaf Sons”, with the gift inscription notches in gold. Total length, blade length, blade width: 97 x 74.5 x 3.2 cm.

Model 1881/1909 Russian dragoon officer’s shashka awarded for bravery. Multi-blade, forged steel, etching, gilding. The inscription “Obedient to the King” and the possessive monogram on one side of the blade, “Terrible to the Enemy” and the state emblem of the Russian Empire on the other. At the top of the handle the order of Anna 4th degree, on the shackle is the inscription “For Bravery”. The blade is made at the Zlatoust weapons factory. Total length, blade length, blade width: 96 x 78.7 x 3.1 cm.
