Rare gold and porcelain pin with Terrier dog head based on the Edwin Landseer painting “Dignity and Impudence” (Tate Collection). These dogs, “Grafton and Scratch” were both owned by Landseers friend, Jacob Bell, who commissionsed the painting and bequeathed it to Tate in 1859.
