A rare Russian silver plated samovar “Mutton”. “Mutton” is probably the most striking and recognizable samovar style among the St. Petersburg factories of that time. The main feature of the samovar is the head of a ram (goat), which is made in the form of a crane. The general appearance is an Empire vase, with luxurious cast handles, a massive base, and an elegant burner. Makers mark of Alexander Kach. Petersburg, the mid of the 19th century.
