Estimate: 2500-3500€Ultra rare Kalashnikov hunting knife. This model was developed by Mikhail Timofeevich Kalashnikov in about 1960 after the visit of the Leonid Brezhnev to Izhevsk plant. The knife was meant as a present to the Communist party leaders, High Command of the Soviet Army etc. Thus it was also known as a “Generals hunting knife”. Only a handful of these knives were made in several variations that differ from one another by small details and the quantity of the tools included in the knife. Length: 25.5 cm. long in scabbard.
