Estimate: 4000-5000€“BARUTDAN” POWDER FLASK — A very fine and unusually decorative Indian gunpowder flask, probably dating to the mid-19th century.
The body is crafted of wood and richly inlaid with numerous sculpted mother-of-pearl and white material elements, creating an intricate and visually striking surface. It is fitted with two wrought-iron eyelets and suspension rings for carrying. The spout is mounted with a threaded brass fitting and secured by a finely carved white material stopper.
Condition: Very good overall. One side — lacking the original mother-of-pearl inlay — shows a substantial historical repair, with later-added white material inserts and red putty visible along the edges.

Estimate: 3500-4500€A very rare and beautifully decorated small child’s hunting gun, originally a flintlock and later converted to percussion. The barrel is of oriental Damascus steel, finely chased and richly damascened with gold and silver, and bears along the top an oriental inscription in gold. Barrel length: 33 cm; caliber: 14 mm. The breech is added and fitted with a percussion nipple. The lockplate is engraved with delicate foliage and a bird motif. The iron fittings are cut and plain, providing a subtle contrast to the ornate barrel. The stock is made of walnut, with a cheekpiece; the grip is finely checkered and terminates in a carved bust of a bearded man. Overall length: 75 cm. Lenght of the barrel: 33 cm.

The wooden stock is richly decorated with applied silver plaques, finely worked in the form of stylised animals, including fish, ducks, a stag, a wolf, and a monkey. This lively animal ornament reflects the decorative imagination and refined metalwork tradition of Persian arms.
The barrel is forged from twisted Damascus steel, showing a fine patterned surface. It is secured by a series of carved silver openwork barrel bands with cut-through detailing, serving both a practical and decorative function.
The rifle is preserved in remarkable condition and stands out for the quality and completeness of its decoration. A rare and highly desirable collector’s piece.
